The University of Arizona Museum of Art houses wide-ranging collections of over 5,000 paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings, with an emphasis on European and American fine art from the Renaissance to the present. The Technology and Research Initiative Fund (TRIF) is a special State of Arizona investment. At the UA, TRIF funds support creative research efforts in critical high-technology areas, translation of research results to clinical or commercial application, and education of a workforce prepared for the knowledge-based economy of the 21st Century.
